Happy Friday friends ! Since Cooper’s 8th birthday is tomorrow, I thought I’d do a Friday Favorites/All About Cooper post! I’ll be linking up with Erika today too. Here goes:
one
He hates french fries. Won’t touch them. I think he’s the only kid on the planet who doesn’t like fries! When we go out to eat and he orders a kids meal, I have to ask what sort of sides they have besides fries. They look at me like I’m one of “those” moms denying my child french fries or something ๐
two
He is SO funny. Everyone thinks he’s so reserved, but when he’s with his people, he’s a complete goofball!
three
He is incredibly kind. This kid doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He makes friends easily and he is really good with younger children too. He is very aware of not hurting anyone’s feelings.
four
He’s brave. When faced with challenges he jumps in and does what he has to do. He doesn’t like giving presentations in front of the class, but he always gets great grades on those assignments. He faces his fears and gets the job done. He also wants to ride EVERY rollercoaster! Even the one’s I’m afraid of! ๐ฎ
five
He loves dinosaurs. We read a dinosaur book every day. Jurassic World stuff has been a big deal in our house this last year.
six
He is a thinker. He will listen to a conversation between myself and another adult and then hours later he’ll tell me some sort of advice or thought he had about the conversation. He can be very insightful and he always wants to help.
seven
He loves music and his taste in music is ALL his own. He’ll pick out a song from a movie, ask me who sings it, and then have me look it up on YouTube so he can play it over and over. Or he’ll hear a song on the radio and do the same thing. Some of his recent favorites have been Van Halen, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars, Panic at the Disco, and that Old Town Road song by Billy Ray Cyrus and whoever. He definitely has a broad taste in music! ๐
eight
He loves animals. Sometimes he forgets about dinosaurs and when you ask him what he wants to be when he grows up he’ll say a “zoo worker “. Animals love him too. Our grouchy 13 old chihuahua Minnie loves him more than anyone… and she doesn’t even like kids!

Where do you want to live when you grow up?
Hawaii
(Apparently he really likes Hawaii ๐)
There you have it- 8 questions for an 8 year old ๐
Happy Birthday to our sweet Cooper!! We love you more than you’ll ever know, and we sure love watching you grow!
He is too cute and I have to say that my mom used to have to ask the servers the same thing because I did NOT like little french fries so she would often see if they had tater tots because I DID like those … I think it was a texture thing and still is but I don’t really eat either anymore! ๐

How funny!! Glad to know Cooper isn’t the only one! He will sometimes eat tater tots, so maybe it is a texture thing?

Yley, more often than not food choices at his age are based on textures or at least that’s what the specialists told my parents when I was growing up! ๐

I can totally see that- he definitely is particular about certain textures. Most of the foods he won’t touch are either too chewy or too mushy. He’s getting less picky with age thankfully!
