Friday Favorites #31

Well guys, if I’m being honest, today is NOT my favorite Friday! This Coronavirus mess is not my jam. The news is crazy, everyone is confused, the stores are running out of stuff, and as of this afternoon, all the schools are closed! I feel nervous, annoyed, and unsure. Nothing like this has happened in my lifetime so I really don’t know what to make of it. Business at my salon has been painfully slow. I’m not sure if I should close my doors until this craziness settles down or what. For now, I’m just going to see how the weekend goes and make a decision on Sunday night. Home-wise we stocked up on food, and we have plenty of everything, so I’m just going to continue to live my life as normally as possible. I hope wherever you are, you are doing the same.

On a brighter note, my son doesn’t have school for the next 3 weeks!! That’s definitely a favorite!! See guys, there’s a silver lining to every situation. Today I’m linking up with Andrea for Friday Favorites. Here goes:

We had a really fun day, and rode so many rides! It was a great day in one of my favorite places, with my favorite kid.

Last Saturday was Opening Day for Spring Season of Little League! They held the Opening Day ceremony in the morning, then there were game booths, a raffle, and we ate lunch. It was so nice to see a some of the friends that we’ve made over the previous seasons. Then that afternoon Cooper had his first game of the season and went 3 for 3!! He had a great time and we had so much fun watching him play.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, watching my son play baseball is my all time favorite! ❤

On Sunday we went to Disney’s California Adventure! We had SO much fun! We’ve only been to this park twice, and both times it was just for a couple hours before crossing over to Disneyland. This was our first time spending the day here and we loved it! We rode a bunch of rides and ate so much amazing food. Their Food and Wine Festival was going on, so we were able to check out a few booths. They did not disappoint! I’m working on a blog post recap of our day. Hopefully, when they re-open the Disney Parks, the Food and Wine Festival will be able to continue.

Any day at a Disney park is a favorite!!

I bought this volcano kit for Cooper for Christmas:

Curiosity Kits Volcano

This was a complete build your own deal. You put up the mold, place the plaster strips on the mold, paint it, and then put in the volcano ingredients for the eruption. Everything is included except the vinegar. We had a great time making it! It tied in perfectly since they’re learning about volcanoes at school. Or at least they were learning about volcanoes…

I highly recommend this as a crafty activity to do with your kids. Especially if you have boys- he really liked building his own volcano.

Doing stuff like this with my son is my favorite!

My brother and my nephews are coming to visit for the weekend!! They moved about 7 hours away last summer, and I haven’t seen them since Christmas! So I’m very excited to spend some time with them 🙂 Seeing them is always my favorite!
