Hey friends! It’s the last Wednesday of the month so I’m linking up with Schaeffer and Shay for their What’s Up Wednesday link up where we answer these questions:
So here goes!
What We’re Eating
It’s Fall so for me that means soup! At least once a week I make a big pot of soup for dinner, and then I’ll eat the leftovers throughout the week for my lunches. This week I shared a new recipe:

You can click the picture or HERE for the recipe.
Another favorite soup of mine is:

Zuppa Toscana! It’s a major favorite of mine. You can click the picture or HERE for the recipe.
I’m also still doing the Marly Spoon recipe subscription boxes for three meals a week. We still love the variety of meals and the quality of the ingredients. These dinners usually take less than 40 minutes to cook and they are restaurant quality meals. If you are interested in a free box you can click this link for a code:

What I’m Reminiscing About
Once again my Facebook memories got me today! All these pictures of Cooper from years past:
He looks so little ๐
What I’m Loving
I’m loving Fall! We are in a good routine, I’ve adjusted to waking up before sunrise(and I love it), Cooper LOVES his new school(and I love that they don’t assign homework!), the weather feels like Fall, and we have been doing SO many Fall activities. Life feels really good right now.
Of course I’m also loving all things Halloween! I shared some pictures of our Halloween House. You can check that out HERE if you missed it.

What We’ve Been Up To
We have had a crazy busy month! Right at the beginning of October we celebrated Cooper’s birthday and my Mom and my Tia flew in from California to celebrate with us.
We took a trip to Myriad Botanical Garden’s in downtown Oklahoma City to check out Pumpkinville. It’s a beautiful display of pumpkins, pumpkin murals, and activities for the kids. It was super fun!
We also took a trip to a local pumpkin patch- Orr Family Farms. We had a great time in the corn maze, and the kids had a blast shooting the cannon blasters, riding the zipline, playing on the obstacle course, and all the other things.
We enjoyed our first Fall Break(they don’t do those in California). After two months of school, it was nice to have some time off. We had our parent teacher meeting right before break and Cooper got a great report. I really loved his self portrait:

We took our first trip to our local Six Flags amusement park: Frontier City. It’s pretty nice living 15 minutes away from an amusement park!
We spent a day at the OKC Zoo with our friends! We watched The Sea Lion show and it was amazing.
We also did some fun Halloween crafts like this puzzle:
This haunted house:
This shrink-art set:
We went for a hike at Martin Nature Park:
And we’ve watched a bunch of Halloween movies!
What I’m Dreading
I’m dreading all the work it’s going to be to pack all our Halloween stuff away! But on the bright side, I get to put out my Thanksgiving/Harvest decorations and I really love those!
I’m also dreading the time change. I hate it when it gets dark so early! I need the sunlight.
What I’m Working On
Getting my Christmas shopping started. I really want to be ahead of the game this year!
What I’m Excited About
One of my good friends is flying out here to visit next week, so I’m really excited about that!
I’m also looking forward to Thanksgiving! I love the food, the prep work, the amazing smell of the turkey roasting, and the leftovers.
What I’m Watching/Reading
I’m watching Married at First Sight, The Masked Singer, old episodes of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and all the kid friendly Halloween movies. I also watched Maid on Netflix and really loved it.
Sadly I haven’t started a book this month.
What I’m Listening To
I’m currently sitting in the car pick-up line at school, so I’m listening to nothing. I really love the car pick-up line for that reason. It’s such a peaceful time to just sit and relax!
What I’m Wearing
I have been wearing these two tops a bunch:
Both tops are less than $20 on Amazon.
What I’m Doing This Weekend
We’re celebrating Halloween! We will be busy Trick-or-Treating, and hanging out with family and friends.
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month
Thanksgiving break! Eating delicious Thanksgiving food, and seeing the leaves change color ๐

Iโm belatedly catching up on my โWhatโs Up Wednesdayโ reading. I wish we had made it to a pumpkin farm this year but sadly, we didnโt. However, I love that one you visited with the murals. And we never get a Thanksgiving break either and I wish we did.

The pumpkin murals were so cute! The theme was Wizard of Oz, and they did such a great job with it ๐
